Companies | Entering a new company

~ OTHER DATA ~

  • {Active}
  • {Accountant/Caretaker}
  • {ID}
    Unique identifier of the company in Brix. Assigned automatically when a new company is entered.
  • {Key}
    Unique key of the company for special-purpose access to its data.
  • {Authorized}
  • {Function}
  • {Accountant}
    The accounting/bookkeeping firm that keeps the company's books. If the company keeps its own books, enter the company itself.
  • {Chart Of Accounts}
    The chart of accounts used for the company's postings. The charts of accounts of the accounting firm entered in {Accountant} are offered.
  • {Caretaker}
  • {Local language}
  • {Company CURR}
    The base currency in which the company operates and keeps its books. As a rule it is the official currency of the country in which the company is registered.
  • {Exchange Rates}
    The bank whose middle exchange rate is used for all accounting conversions of foreign-currency documents, translation at the middle rate, calculation of exchange differences, etc. We strongly recommend the Croatian National Bank, because its exchange rate list is loaded automatically every day.
  • {Currencies}
    List of currencies the company actively uses.
    Purpose: it limits the choice of currencies within the company. This reduces the options offered in document drop-down lists and prevents errors caused by accidentally selecting the wrong currency.
    The list applies to every entry of a currency in documents, both when selecting from the list and when typing the code directly.
  • {Price List}
    Default price list for goods/services. How the price is determined.
  • {Labor Hour Type}
    Code book of hour types used for erv and payroll. It can be selected only when {Accountant} is entered.
  • {Tax Office}
  • {JOPPD Submitter}
    Submitter code printed on Page A of the JOPPD report and written to its XML file. Shown only to companies with the JOPPD module enabled.
  • {Current VAT Period Start Date}
    Start date of the current VAT period. As a rule it should be the first day of the month. If this date is not entered, posting lines cannot be entered in Bills, Bank Statements and journal_entries.
  • {Current Fiscal Year Start Date}
    Start date of the current fiscal year. It is updated by the year-end closing. Accounting postings of Bills, Bank Statements and journal_entries dated before this date are not allowed. If this date is not entered, no accounting postings are possible at all.
  • {Has FIP}
  • {FA Department}
    The department in which fixed assets are kept and FA invoices are issued. A separate department is not required — fixed assets can be kept in any existing department that does not have the FREE_IRA setting enabled. A department with that setting cannot be selected — see fixed_assets_department.
    • The first entry of the department is always possible, as is saving an unchanged value.
    • If fixed asset changes already exist in the company, {FA Department} cannot be changed — send a support request.
  • {Till - Fixed Asset Sales}
    Payment device number for FA invoices, which are issued in the department entered in {FA Department}. FA invoices carry this number and their own number sequence, separate from the department's other invoices — see payment_device_number.
    • Entered only together with an {FA Department} that has a business premises code. A whole number greater than 0, without leading zeros, different from that department's {Till - Invoices} and {Till - POS Receipts} and from all other payment device numbers in its business premises.
    • If the number is not entered, FA invoices cannot be approved.
  • {Capital assets year}
    The current year for which fixed assets are calculated. It is updated automatically by the fixed assets year-end closing. When fixed assets are first introduced in the company, enter the year for which the fa_ini_states will be entered.
  • {Incoming Invoices Department}
    If a department is entered, all incoming invoices are entered in that department regardless of the department active at the time of entry. Used when the company has several departments but wants all incoming invoices in one department with a single number sequence. If no department is entered, an incoming invoice gets its number from the sequence of the department active at the time of entry.
  • {Travel Orders Department}
    Default department for entering travel orders.
