Chart Of Accounts

~ BASIC ~

The tab holds the basic data of the account.

  • {Account}
    Account number, up to 8 characters (digits, letters and symbols); the number of characters entered and the maximum allowed are shown below the field.
    • When this value is changed, all postings made before the change stay on the “old” account. The UPDATE POSTINGS button moves all existing postings to the “new” account, in all companies and all years.
  • {Synthetics}
    When ticked, the account is a synthetic account:
    • it is used only in the balance sheet print;
    • it can have at most five digits;
    • posting to it is not allowed.
  • {Active}
    When ticked, the account can be used in new postings of incoming invoices, bank statements and journal entries. When not ticked, no new postings to the account are possible, while existing postings remain visible in the balance sheet, account cards and posting journal.
  • {Enable Posting}
    When not ticked, the account cannot be used in manual postings of incoming invoices, bank statements and journal entries. The check applies to accounts reserved for automatic postings (e.g. stock accounts whose balances must equal the value of item stocks), because manual changes would defeat the system's automatic consistency check.
    • If a manual posting is needed on such an account (e.g. on stock account 3100), open a new sub-account within the same group (e.g. 31000) with the same properties and make the manual postings through it. The automatic records on the main account then remain correct.
  • {Name}
    Account name, up to 100 characters; the number of characters entered and the maximum allowed are shown below the field. The icon next to the field opens the entry of name translations, which allow the bilanca to be printed with translated account names. Table of English account name translations.
  • {Till}
  • {KPI}
  • {U JOPPD ulazi na} (Included in JOPPD from)
    The posting side — Debit or Credit — from which the amount posted to this account is taken into the JOPPD report. The field prepares for taking payments from postings into JOPPD, which is not yet available.
  • {Šifra neoporezivog primitka} (Non-taxable receipt code)
    The non-taxable receipt code (P151) assigned to payments taken from this account. An account has one code. Like the previous field, it prepares for taking payments from postings.
The {U JOPPD ulazi na} and {Šifra neoporezivog primitka} fields are shown to all companies because several companies can use the same chart of accounts; they are used only in companies with the JOPPD module.

The buttons of the Account dialog are described in the Buttons section of the Chart Of Accounts page.
