{Service revenue account}

Shown only for items of type Service.

Sets the revenue account to which sales of this service are posted in the automatic invoice postings, instead of the default service revenue account.

The drop-down list offers only the accounts whose {Show in list} field in the chart of accounts holds the value Services (revenue). If the account you need is not in the list, set that value on the account in the [ Chart of Accounts ] form.

Accounts commonly set on individual services:

• Deposits received (lease of business premises)
• Revenue from lease of business premises
• Revenue from the sale of tangible fixed assets (in use and depreciated) — on the service for selling a fixed asset without the Fixed Assets module
• Revenue from re-invoiced costs (electricity, water, utility charges, waste collection, insurance premiums etc.)
