Assembly/Menu
The structure sets the items an assembly is made of. An assembly is an item sold as a single line but made up of other items:
- Assembly — a computer made up of a motherboard, memory and a case, for example.
- Menu — in catering, an offer made up of several Food and Drinks items, for example soup, a main course and a dessert.
The stock of the items in the structure is relieved when the document the assembly is entered on is confirmed — an invoice, an issue slip or a delivery note.
An assembly carries no stock of its own. Stock is carried by the items in its structure, and those are relieved the moment the document is confirmed.
Entry procedure
- In the list filter select {Type} = Assembly/Menu and check that the structure does not already exist.
- On the ~ BASIC ~ tab, select the assembly in the {Structure for} field and enter the {Quantity} the structure relates to.
- Confirm the entry with SAVE.
Meaning of the data
The data common to every type is described on Structures. For an assembly the following also applies:
- {Item} — The item that goes into the assembly. In a menu these are Food and Drinks items, which have a recipe of their own — relieving then continues through their recipes down to the raw materials.
- {Department} — The warehouse the item is relieved from.
