The Croatian Government's Decision on maximum prices of certain products (NN 142/25) sets a maximum permitted retail price for a range of products. In Brix that ceiling is entered on the item, in the {Maximum retail price} field of the ~ BASIC ~ tab, and Brix then warns whenever the item's price in a document exceeds it. An empty field means the item is not capped and no check is made.
The warning appears when the selling price is determined in these forms:
Invoice types that do not sell goods at a retail price are outside the check: credit notes (ODOT), advance payment invoices (RAPP) and reversals. When the conditions are not met the forms behave as before. A check when entering prices in the price list will be added later.
The retail price per unit of the line, including VAT, is compared:
Line discounts and rebates are not part of the comparison — the cap applies to the displayed price, and a rebate is a condition of sale.
The check runs every time the line's price is determined: when Brix brings it from the price list or stock (adding an item, changing the item, changing the delivery date so that a different price list applies), when the user enters or changes it manually, and on a goods-in document also when {MP Cij} is recalculated from {Marža %}, {VP cij}, {Stopa PDV-a} or {Cijena dobavljača}. When the retail price per unit is above the maximum permitted:
The notification is not repeated on every change, only when the ceiling is crossed; the text under the field follows the state permanently. The warning blocks neither entry nor closing of the document — the regulation binds the retailer, and Brix warns. The behaviour is the same on desktop and mobile.
If the document contains at least one line priced above the maximum when it is closed, a Confirm dialog is shown first, with the message The following items have a price above the maximum permitted price (NN 142/25): and the list of lines (name, retail price, maximum retail price). OK closes the document without changing prices, CANCEL returns to the document.
In a POS sale only the warning when adding a line applies. There is no dialog at payment — the cashier cannot correct the price at the till, and a dialog would slow down checkout.
