====== Gift Vouchers ======

The sale of a gift voucher is recorded with an invoice for the item representing the gift voucher. When the customer redeems the voucher, the same item is entered with a negative quantity.

===== Manual entry =====

  - For a gift voucher sold, issue an invoice for the gift voucher item, e.g. //Gift Voucher//. One Brix user uses the item //Personalised Glass Gift Card// for this purpose.
  - When the customer redeems the gift voucher, manually enter the same item with a negative quantity. This cancels out the amount of the gift voucher invoice issued earlier.

===== Import from WooCommerce =====

  - Set up the gift voucher as an item in WooCommerce.
  - Import the items into Brix — see [[brix:en:integrations:woo]].
  - In the //**[ [[brix:en:goods|Items]] ]**// form, set up the gift voucher item:
    * as type //Service//,
    * with the account in the //**{[[brix:en:goods:basic:service_income]]}**// field: //Advances received for multipurpose vouchers// or //Foreign currency advances received for multipurpose vouchers//.
