**|** Basic **|** ====== Blog ====== The form in which the Brix support team writes announcements about what is new in Brix — new features, changes and upgrades. Announcements are shown to all users in the brix:en:blogs:news widget on the Brix home page, right after logging in. A user sees only announcements written in their interface language, so a separate announcement is entered for each language. Blog is part of the Sales Management (CRM) module. The form is visible to users who have the program assigned in the Users form; at present only MICRO PROCESS writes announcements. ===== Toolbar ===== * **Search box** — the field in the top left corner; narrows the loaded announcements to those containing the entered text. * **Green question mark** — opens this help page in a new window. * The button in the bottom right corner opens the //Blog - Add// dialog. ===== List ===== brix:en:filter_search:start Blog has no filter — announcements are found with the search box. Clicking a row opens the //Blog - Edit// dialog. List columns: * — a check mark in the first column marks an announcement with //**{Always on top}**// switched on. * **Date** — the date the announcement was created. * **Publish** — the date from which the announcement is visible to users; an empty column means it has not been published yet. * **Version** — the Brix version the announcement refers to. * **Name** — the announcement title. * **Author** — the user who entered the announcement. * **URL WIKI**, **URL WEB** — links to the help page or to the article on the website, if entered. ===== Buttons ===== The //Blog - Add// dialog shows only the save button; the delete button appears only in the //Blog - Edit// dialog. * **SAVE** — Saves the announcement and closes the dialog. * **DELETE** — Deletes the announcement after confirmation. Deletion cannot be undone. ===== Fields ===== Fields are listed in the order they appear in the dialog. * //**{Language}**// — The language the announcement is written in. The widget shows the announcement only to users with that interface language; for another language a separate announcement with the same content is entered. * //**{Version}**// — Brix version in the form //v#.##.##// (e.g. //v1.10.11//). Not mandatory — left empty for notices not tied to a version. * //**{Name}**// — The announcement title, up to 120 characters. Mandatory. * //**{Date}**// — The creation date; defaults to today. Announcements in the widget are sorted by this date, newest first. * //**{Publish}**// — The date from which the announcement is visible to users. While the field is empty the announcement is not shown to users; an announcement with a future date stays hidden until that day. This is the date shown in the widget. * //**{Always on top}**// — The announcement stays at the top of the widget, ahead of all others, and is shown in red. Intended for permanent notices, e.g. about how the support system works. * //**{URL WIKI}**// — Link to a help page. If entered, clicking the announcement in the widget opens that page instead of the text dialog, so //**{Text}**// need not be entered. * //**{URL WEB}**// — Link to an article on the MICRO PROCESS website. Behaves the same as //**{URL WIKI}**//. * //**{Modules}**//, //**{Programs}**// — The modules and programs the announcement refers to. Informational only; shown as columns in the widget. * //**{Text}**// — The announcement body. Edited in an editor with a toolbar (headings, alignment, bold, italic, underline, quote, lists, indentation, links); the button opens the HTML source of the announcement. * //**{Photograph}**// — An image shown in the announcement dialog. Added with the button in the header of the //Photograph// box, which is available only in the //Blog - Edit// dialog, i.e. after the announcement has been saved. ===== Limitations ===== * An announcement with no date in //**{Publish}**// is not shown to any user, regardless of its other data. * An announcement is shown only to users whose interface language matches //**{Language}**//; a user with another language does not see the Croatian version either. * A photograph cannot be added in the //Blog - Add// dialog — the announcement has to be saved first. * The **DELETE** button is shown only in the //Blog - Edit// dialog.
